I live on a wonderful ranch in northern Santa Barbara county. I raise purebred Australian Shepherds which have gone to amazing homes all over the country. I also direct The Animali Farm horse rescue, an organization which has found loving homes for over 2500 horses that were at risk of going to slaughter. Hi there! We are the Welsh Family and we strive to produce happy, healthy, and confident puppies. All our adults are health tested, we avoid inbreeding, and we make sure they are kept healthy and well socialized. All our puppies are raised in our home and are a part of our family. All our puppies are kept in a warm, clean, safe environment with their mom until they are weaned at 8 weeks old. From the day the puppies are born we start exposing them to different sounds, smells, and human touch. We expose them to firework sounds, sirens, thunder, and water to really try and help the puppies get exposed and comfortable with typical "scary things". When puppies start going to their new homes at 8 weeks, we have also started them on obedience training, potty training, and crate training. Aussies are an amazing breed that are great family dogs or even shows dogs. Our dogs love going on any sort of adventure such as road trips, hiking in the desert or mountains, or even swimming at the beach. We strongly suggest that prospective puppy owners learn about this breed and really ask questions to make sure they are a good fit for them and their lifestyle. We never want our dogs to end up in shelters, pet stores, or environments not right for them, so we will always take one of our bred dogs back for whatever reason.
