The mother "Libby" is a beautiful White/Liver Ticked/patched muscular smaller size with a sold dark liver head . After pups she will be working on her CGC. and Hunting Titles.

If you are looking for a German Shorthaired Pointer you are in the right place! Make sure you do your due diligence and research the breed before you decide to embark on a journey with a GSP. We crate train the puppies, they are trained to take care of business outside of their crate(Please see pictures). They will also socialize with kids from 6 to 8 weeks of age, 2 to 3 days per week. We are located in Central California and live in Valley Springs a small town in the foot hills. We have been a breeder of German Shorthaired Pointers for little over eight years and previously bred Labrador’s for twenty years. We fell in love with GSP after hunting at different Hunting Clubs in the area. The way these dogs hunted and performed for their owners was unbelievable. They showed so much love and affection for their owners. This is why we started breeding GSP. We chose a Sire and Dams that had excellent breeding. Their parents and grandparents are Field Champion , Amatuer Field Champion and National Field Champion. In the Sire’s and Dam’s breeding they have (5) German Shorthaired Pointers that were inducted into the Hall of Fame. This is why our GSP Puppies have excellant bloodlines for Field Trial, Hunting or just a Family Dog. The GSP are smart and easy to train. The GSP pup's form a strong loving bond to their families. We like to introduce the pup's to different sounds and things. For instance grandchildren, balls, grass, car rides etc. As soon as the puppies are walking, we will introduce them to a collar and short rope about 18 ". This will teach them to give into the pull of the rope and this will help when we attach the collar to the leash . We want our GSP puppies to be well adjusted to their surroundings. This will produce a strong, bold GSP pup that can do any activity given to them. The most important thing is we give our puppies "Love" . They are part of our family unit. Our puppies at 5 days old will have their tails docked and declaws removed. The first set of shots will be given at 8 weeks and dewormed twice with Name-2. Our puppies will not be released to their new home until at least eight weeks or older. Our puppies will also have their AKC Registration form and their puppy information folder. The Prato family is now on our 112th year of hunting with German Shorthaired Pointers. Here at LUDASPRATO GSP’s we specialize in waterwork. These versatile beauties love the water and are excellent in the field as well. We do however have some restrictions here. We prefer hunting homes and don’t like to put our puppies in an apartment environment, it’s not fair to this high energy breed. They need a yard to run. We also offer military, veteran, and law enforcement discounts. First responders as well. Our puppies also make great service dogs, but refuse to home for emotional support.
