I have a small sheep ranch on the Central Coast of California. I need livestock guardian dogs due to the predators. Temperament, structure and health are very important to me as is instinct to do the job. Consequently, I have health tests for the parents. My female Emmy is equally at home in the show ring and the sheep pasture. Her temperament is as solid as they come. She is an AKC champion and has protected my flock from a mountain lion, coyotes and birds of prey. She is loving to children and lambs. Her structure is exceptional and is a great mover. I am breeding in order to keep a pup.

Parents are all health tested and have been shown in AKC and UKC Conformation. Established in 1982, Amber Waves is located in beautiful Southern California and breeds African Pygmy Goats and Bearded Bantam Silkies. Our Great Pyrenees are working dogs protecting goats, chickens, tortoises, and Emus. Amber Waves produces only one or two litters of Great Pyrenees puppies each year. We breed for exceptional personalities that two of our puppies have gone on to be a Certified Service Dog and a Certified Therapy dog. We own the dams, the sire, and the great grandsire, which reside at Amber Waves. All of our pups are born in our barn, and once they are old enough, they head out to be with our pygmy goats. All our puppies come with Full AKC papers, sired by our Imported male From Hungary, and are ready to go to their forever homes when they are eight weeks old. Before leaving our farm, each puppy will be dewormed and will have had their first round of puppy shots. We do offer Stud Service to approved females. Terrie Strom is from California and breeds Great Pyrenees. We built our home in 2000 on 2.5 acres to accommodate our 4 Great Pyrenees. We wanted our Pyrs to be able to have the freedom of running on the property. Although the Pyrs do not need all this space, we just love to watch them run and stretch their legs. They also provide security by using their guarding instincts to protect our goats as well as ourselves from any predators.
