Alp Angel Bergamascos celebrates it's 16th year of responsible breeding and preservation of the Bergamasco Sheepdog. Our Bergamascos are the center of our universe. We are dedicated to maintaining the proper function,temperament, confirmation and soundness of this special breed. Our Bergamascos are raised on our farm in Connecticut, USA and are wonderful examples of the versatility that the Bergamasco has to offer as a loving family companion, in the show ring and as a herder. We take great pride in breeding fully health tested dogs. Our dogs are currently working in real life applications, training for herding trials and succeeding in conformation. I have served as the former Vice-President and President of the Bergamasco Sheepdog Club of America. I am currently the President of the Bergamasco Shepherd Association of Canada and a member in good standing of the National Bergamasco Shepherd Association of Canada and Societa Amorati Cane Da Pastore Bergamasco ( Breed club of Italy) . We have been the loving owners of seven wonderful Bergamascos over the past fourteen years. Each with their own unique beginnings and personalities. The Bergamasco is an ancient breed whose temperament and physical attributes were developed gradually and carefully over time for the purpose of working and guarding sheep. Today’s Bergamasco maintains this exemplary disposition as the shepherd’s companion, only now, their flocks are comprised of human families and friends. They are active, courageous, docile, intelligent and very resourceful companion dog well suited for family life. Our family is dedicated to upholding and maintaining these unique and amazing characteristics. Our puppies will be matched with their forever families in hopes of fostering the best lifelong relationships. Through our responsible breeding practices and our forever home selection process, we plan to protect and contribute to this special breed.
