We are located in sunny Central Florida, 20 minutes outside of Daytona Beach. We have owned a variety of dogs over the years but it wasn’t until we came across the Cane Corso that we truly fell in love with a particular breed of dog. We acquired our first Corso on Christmas 2006. It was the best Christmas present we’d ever received. Since then, our pack has grown quite a bit and our admiration for this magnificent breed has grown along with it. We spend a lot of time with our dogs, entering them in AKC conformation shows, participating in breed familiarization events, attending regular obedience classes, and even trying our luck at weight pulling and lure coursing. Cane Corsos are an extremely versatile breed and can participate in many different types of events. Their physique represents the perfect balance of size and strength. We believe that the bond between humans and dogs is a win-win relationship. They look to us for food, shelter, and guidance and in return we look to them for their loyalty and companionship. Man originally bred dogs for a purpose. In the case of the Cane Corso they were bred to serve as guardians of people and property. We can assure you that they are rather good at both. Those instincts are still very strong and their territorial nature is unmistakably that of a mastiff. Being mastiffs, Cane Corsos are not for everyone. Besides being a rather large and powerful dog, these dogs need regular exercise. They also require early socialization. We take our dogs everywhere we can so they are properly socialized and able to adjust to all types of environments. Whether they're with us checking in at a hotel or walking down the sidewalk with thousands of people during Daytona Beach Bike Week, our Corsos have been taught how to behave and never fail to impress everyone they meet. We also make it a point to take all our dogs to formal obedience classes at an early age. All our Corsos have gone through basic dog obedience and most have their Canine Good Citizen (CGC) certificates. We cannot over emphasize the importance of early socialization and obedience training. There should never be any doubt as to who the boss in the family is. Once a Corso understands its place, it will be a much more content and confident dog, knowing it can look to you for assurance and guidance. Our lives revolve around our Corsos so much that we recently moved just so they would have an ideal environment to grow up in. They now have 10 acres to call their own and two ponds that provide endless hours of watery exercise and entertainment. Nothing gives us greater satisfaction than knowing our Cane Corsos are healthy and happy. We operate a lure coursing kit for our dogs and those belonging to our fellow West Volusia Kennel Club members. We take great pride in our dogs and we strive to breed only the finest Cane Corsos. Above all we breed for health and temperament and endeavor to maintain a line of dogs that exemplify the Cane Corso. Each puppy receives the highest level of care and they are always treated with the love and attention you would expect from someone as caring as my wife Maria.
