Patti Swanson lives in Venice Florida, and she shows and breeds Rough Collies. Suncrest Collies is a small hobby kennel. Our puppies are raised in our home. The puppies are Champion sired and All breeding stock has DNA testing for all Collie Health Issues. Socialization plays a very big part in my kennel starting at birth, health and producing a great representation of the breed along with a sweet expression . Our puppies eye checks are by a certified ophthalmologist, veterinarian health check, AKC Registration, and microchipped. Puppies are given a great start here at Suncrest Collies, and it is my responsibility to provide them with homes that will continue with that care and love for all their lives. My wife and I are AKC Breeders of Merit. I have been breeding and exhibiting dogs since 1981. I started in Collies and Labrador Retrievers and now actively breed and exhibit Shetland Sheepdogs, Flat-Coated Retrievers and Collies (both rough and smooth). On average we breed 2 -3 thoughtfully planned litters a year. Parents are health tested and we provide health guarantees in our contracts.. We carefully screen buyers to ensure compatibility. Puppies we have placed have gone on to be conformation champions, performance champions and beloved companions. Companion puppies are sold with a spay/neuter contract. We occasionally have retired show dogs available for companion homes as well.

We raise sable and white rough haired collies - Lassie lookalikes. We do not have a litter very often but they are worth waiting for. These puppies are raised in the home with lots of love and attention and lots of good food. We feed real food, baby cereal, milk and our own special formula from three weeks on. They are paper trained starting at 3 weeks old and by 8 weeks they are going outside and are completely potty trained. The puppies eyes are normal. I have a contract requesting no spay or neuter for at least the first two years. Contrary to what you may believe this can cause so many health issues I prefer not to do it at all. I provide a health certificate and health guarantee AKC full registration and pedigree, I will always take my puppies back for any reason. They are like my children.
