My name is Giles Stratton and I raise highly versatile AKC English Springer Spaniels. I bought my first English Springer Spaniel when I was 14 years old and have not owned a different breed of dog since. When I decided I wanted to get into raising the breed, I spent the next four years acquiring 3 quality Springer Spaniels from the Southeast. I am a smaller breeder with only one Euro bred male and two american bred females. My litters continue to impress even me beyond measure with their incredible looks and sociability. A grand-dam of this Litter was imported from Poland. This being, the litter-sire is a heavier built dog with thicker bone, a more blocky head, and a wonderfully square jaw. This sets him apart from most ,(not all), American Bred Springers that have the modern petite build, and from dogs in which their breeding and conformation has strayed from breed standard as more and more faulted colors and genetics are introduced into American English Springer Spaniel breeding programs. By the breed standard, the Litter sire, Scout, is a prime example of the original ESS that dates back to the game bird fields of Great Britain. Scout absolutely excels at any given task from obedience trials, duck, pigeon, and quail hunting, to assistance in Equine therapy work. The dam of this litter is a delightful 4 yr. old female with flawless conformation and an excellent, willing personality. This is a highly trained female that has done everything from bird flushing/retrieving, deer tracking, conformation AND obedience showing, to involvement in therapeutic programs and work with foster/adopted children. She is a wonderful bench bred female with MANY finished champions on her pedigree. The sky is the limit with the progeny of this crossing and I expect nothing short of perfection from each and every puppy.
