Carol Daniels is from Iowa and breeds Miniature American Shepherds. I have one female dog (so far) and have one litter a year. They are born in my dining room and raised with lots of TLC. They become part of my family. By the time they are 9 weeks old they've been exposed to numerous people, places, experiences, sounds and situations. My puppies are loved as if I were keeping them forever. I interview every potential buyer to determine suitability. This breed isn't for everyone! My preference is someone who already owns one, but I will consider other good homes. MAS dogs are highly intelligent, high energy and high ornery! If you don't invest time and energy in training and daily exercise, you won't have a good relationship. In fact, you may think you have a bad dog. On the contrary, you might be an unsuitable owner for a MAS. Please take the time to learn about this breed before considering a puppy. Make plans for puppy school and further training. Even better, consider sports with your dog such as Flyball, Agility, and others. These aren't just cute puppies, these are working machines. Given enough exercise and stimulation you'll have a companion to love you all their life. Once tuckered out, they are wonderful lapdogs, if not a bit large for a small lap. My dog Gypsy can't get enough scratches, belly rubs and pets. She can also play fetch until my arm falls off!

We are a small professional breeder that emphasizes the health, temperament and ability in the dogs that we live with and love. All of our dogs are first and foremost family pets that interact and play with our children on a daily basis. We enjoy a multitude of activities with our dogs and participate in many events, including hunting, agility, obedience and pet therapy. All of the adult dogs in our program are health tested with a minimum of OFA hips and OFA patellas. Our puppies are all raised in our home using the "rule of 7's" and Puppy Culture so they are well socialized from the start.
