I breed one litter per year from superior quality male and female Doberman Pinchers. Each puppy is handled and socialized on our horse farm in Noblesville, In. Beth Ridgeway is from Indiana and breeds Doberman Pinschers. This is Lucy's second breeding with Levi. I breed one litter per year and the puppies are raised in my home. They are exposed to a variety of people and children. They are handled frequently when the mother (Lucy) takes a break. The first four weeks things are kept pretty quiet. Once all the pups are walking the whelping pen is moved into the sun-room and the puppies are given more room. I am attempting to train the puppies to use dog litter(pine pellets). I will let you know how it goes. The theory is the pan is placed outside of the whelping box door and the puppies will have to walk through it to get to food, water and toys. I have heard of several successful results on the internet. The puppies will be taken outside regularly (weather permitting). Both of our dobermans are velcro dogs (they go wherever you go - literally) and are true to the doberman temperament. They would like to be lap dogs but settle for resting the front of their bodies in my husbands lap. The puppies are all black with rust markings.
