AKC proudly supports dedicated and responsible breeders. We encourage all prospective puppy owners to do their research and be prepared with questions to ask the breeder. Make sure you are not only choosing the right breed for you, but also that you’re getting it from the right individual.
Springers: We have been breeding sweet, trainable, trustworthy, and beautiful English springer spaniels since 1984. As a sporting breed, we believe that versatility is very important. We are very proud to have produced over 70 AKC champions, many grand champions, multiple best in show winners, specialty winners, several group winners, many group placers, and over a dozen really fine Junior Showmanship dogs. Our dogs have achieved top honors in hunt tests (MH17), obedience (UDX), rally (RAE), tracking (CT), dock diving (DM), agility (MX, MXJ), scent work (SWME), and therapy dogs (THDA). Most importantly, our dogs have been beloved companions for dozens of families. Wonderful temperaments, excellent health and longevity, extreme athleticism and correct movement, and true, correct breed type are, in order, our priorities, and have been hallmarks of the Keswicke dogs for decades. This has enabled us to be very comfortable in guaranteeing our dogs until their 4th birthday against any serious genetic health or temperament problem. We select the best puppy for each home, and keep them until they are 10 weeks old to ensure that they understand pack order, inappropriate behavior around other dogs, and bite inhibition (puppy teeth are sharp!). Puppies are ALWAYS raised in our home. They are well socialized to people, experiences, other dogs and cats before they leave. We spend time with every new owner, explaining denning instinct, crate-training, house-breaking, proper vaccine protocol, and avoiding behavior problems through early puppy training. We are available 24 hours a day for any serious problem or concern, and we are responsible for every dog we produce from birth to death. Our belief is that we have special dogs, for special families. Lagotti: We fell in love with the Lagotto Romagnolo breed at first sight! After 6 months of heavy research, I began showing them for another breeder, After 2 years of meeting breeders from all over the world, working heavily for the national parent club, making several trips to Italy, acquiring the best mentors world-wide, and narrowing down our search for just the right dogs, we acquired our foundation bitches. They have become champions, won major awards at national specialties, and have been fully health tested - and in 2019 we had our first Lagotto litter. We couldn't be happier with those puppies, and will continue to selectively breed the lovely Lagotto.
Very small breeding program focused on well rounded and well adjusted puppies. Puppies are raised around children, farm animals, loud equipment, and worked with on a daily basis.
