Here at Bernese Beauties, we are hobby breeders and 1 or 2 litters a year makes it possible to share with others, this breed we have learned to love! 1 or 2 litters a year also gives us much more time to spend with our dogs and puppies than if we had a multiple litters a year. This sometimes means our families wait a bit longer for their pup but we’re confident you will find it worth the wait. We always look forward to meeting those who will become owners of ‘our’ puppies & are a resource for the new owners as long as they like. It’s a special privilege to place pups with families who have children or who need a therapy pup! Currently, we own 3 Bernese Mountains and they are all on our property to meet and greet: Kenia, and more recently, Inka. Sadly, our male, Snickers passed away in September of 2024. However, Watson just joined us, from Michigan. As a puppy he was imported directly from Hungary. Our mama dog, Kenia, (a solid 90-95 lbs.) is a sweet-tempered dog and a great mom.-so gentle. She has mothered 31 amazing pups and they were all SUPER HEALTHY and evenly sized from the start. She is clear on DM and rates a B on VW. As long as she is bred with a male that is clear on VW, the puppies will not be affected. One of her puppies is being trained for therapy work and many others are acting as therapy pups even tho they haven’t been trained specifically for that! We are planning a spring litter with her at Watson Snickers was a big-built berner ( 95-100 lbs.) with imported European champions a number of generations back. He carried the European look with a blockier head and narrower white strip down his face. He loved his people and tried to be a lapdog every chance he got! He had fluffy, teddy-bear hair whereas Kenia’s is tighter curls especially on her head and neck. His puppies tend toward the European look and build, as well. He has a son in Hawaii who’s carrying on the bloodlines as well as a daughter in New York who will be mothering litters in the coming year if all goes as planned! Inka is one year old -90 lbs. and still growing . She came to us from Milan Berners in Indiana. Her dad, Max (120 lbs.) is a direct import from Russia and maternal grandmother was also an import. Indy, her mom is a beautiful build- short, blocky and stocky and 125 lbs. Inka’s bloodlines are full of champions- beautiful dogs with great health testing and good longevity. We look forward to her first litter in the spring of 2025. She is genetically cleared by parentage. Inka has a very happy personality, preferring to be with some of her people at all times, at all costs. We hope to meet her first litter in the summer or fall of 2025. Watson will be the dad of the litter (s). He’s a direct import from Hungary and also fully health tested. On Bernegard follow his amazing show/champion lines and find a wealth of info on preceding generations. Hips are OFA good and Elbows normal. All clear on genetics! Excellent temperament. Goofy, people-pleaser, laid back…. His puppies generally range from 95-105 lbs. full-grown. Beautiful blocky head, and thick legs. Tho he hasn’t entered the show ring himself, he definitely could. He comes from strong show/champion lines and has a sister, Skye who was European Junior Winner in Paris in 2022. They continue to work for more titles! He is new to us but a proven stud and we are loving learning to know him! He came to us from Bennington Retrievers in Michigan. They knew what an amazing dog he was, with health testing completed, a proven stud record, healthy puppies and champion/show bloodlines. He rates an A on all 3 genetic tests just like Snickers! We are happy to provide Bernegarde numbers for each of our dogs if you wish to research their ancestory further. A little on the process... If you are interested in being placed on our wait list let us know. When you have completed our questionnaire and been approved we accept a cash or PayPal deposit. Then we place you on the waitlist. We will then keep you updated on anything here! Typically, in-person visits to choose the puppy, start when they are 5 weeks old. It's less stress the first weeks for the mom and puppies that way and by waiting till 5 weeks you get to see them when there personalities are coming out! The deposit is $300- nonrefundable unless something unforeseen would happen to the puppy. After a puppy is chosen, we try to send weekly pic updates to the owner until pickup day-between 8-10 weeks. You can expect pricing to to be $3000 (limited registration) for the coming litters. Our puppies come with a health guarantee, health certificate from our vet, and AKC papers. We register your pup for you and have the certificate sent to you! We pay for the basic registration cost as well. We also send a puppy bag with info on their last shots and all the deworming dates- and any vet notes. They take home their own squeaky ball or other toy, and also a small amount of the puppy food they’ve been eating so that you can more easily transition them to what you’d like to feed them! They also come well socialized and with beautiful personalities! Then they are yours to have the fun of completing the training! We strive to be an honest, responsible breeder you can trust, and to make the process as smooth and easy for our customers as possible.
