We're Michele and Andy Parbury, we live in Southwest Missouri, and we breed Mastiffs. We have always had big dogs, but one in particular had a special place in our family. After much research, we came to the conclusion that he had a mastiff temperament. Once we learned that mastiffs had the personality that best fit our life, we knew we had to do what we could to help others find their own mastiff family member and experience the love and joy these dogs have to share. Minni has a wonderful temperament and is incredibly affectionate. She is a loving mama and is currently raising seven strong healthy boys. These dogs truly are "Gentle Giants," and take up much less emotional space than dogs 1/10 their size. Spencer's Shady Grove Kennel is located just outside of Cabool, Missouri. We raise great quality, AKC registered Boxers and AKC registered English Mastiffs. We have raised several generations of our dogs so we know their health, temperament, size, and personality traits. We go the extra step in making sure we raise healthy puppies by providing DNA genetic health testing on our dogs to rule out genetic diseases. We began showing in 1995 and had our first litter of Mastiffs in 1998. Our love of hounds brought us to import our first GBGV in 2007. Since that time we have strived to produce and show AKC GRAND BASSET GRIFFON VENDÉEN and Mastiffs which represent correct breed type and temperament.  We occasionally have puppies available to approved forever homes.  Our dogs are a part of our family and are raised with early neuro stimulation and socialized using Puppy Culture protocol to give them a solid physical and emotional foundation. We are proud to produce sweet, sound and social puppies which come with written health guarantees and a lifetime commitment to support and educate new puppy parents who add an Ethos puppy to their family.
