My name is Janine Sevits and I have been raising Australian Shepherds for over 25 years. My daughter in law, Kaity Sevits, and I, raise Aussies on a small scale with only 4 females and one male who all live and work with us on our farm in Northeast Missouri everyday.  They are a part of our family and we expect all of our puppies to live the same quality of life as our own dogs do.  In addition to Australian Shepherds, I have been raising Soft-Coated Wheaten Terriers for about 14 years now.  We introduced our first Wheaten into our home 15 years ago and loved what a great companion he was to myself and my two young boys.  We also raise our Wheatens on a small scale so we can provide our breeding dogs the love, care and attention they deserve.  None of our dogs are ever confined to a kennel - that's not how dogs were designed to live!   We spend a lot of time with our puppies to ensure that they are properly socialized and as prepared as possible to enter their forever homes with confidence.  Pets are no longer just animals - they are members of the family.  We strive to raise dogs that are not only pets, ranch hands or performance dogs but dogs that are well-rounded, loyal and loving family companions that are true to their breed standards. We have only AKC puppies. We health test our SC Wheatens for PLN (a disease that affects kidneys in Wheatens). Our puppies will not get PLN according to the testing. We provide AKC and AKC Reunite microchip registration with your purchase. Our puppies have a health guarantee and will have vaccinations and worming up to date. We adopted our first Wheaten over 25 years ago and have been in love with the breed ever since. My dreams were answered, when I adopted my first Wheaten, Bailey, back in 1996. He was everything I could have imagined and more. He had a beautiful soft teddy bear coat and a sweet, playful, and loving demeanor. We were inseparable from the start. Since he was a great traveler, he became my co-pilot. My little attention getter, loved everyone he met. When I decided to raise Wheatens, the love for them was already deep in my heart. I knew all the wonderful qualities they had to offer and although I could not imagine even letting one of my puppies leave my home, I knew they would bring other families, the same joy that Bailey had brought to my life. Thus, I stepped out and embarked on my amazing journey. I adopted three Wheatie girls and was not surprised they possessed the same wonderful attributes, I loved in Bailey. I have always had a great love for animals, especially dogs, so I enjoy the animal husbandry part of raising our puppies. We believe socialization is very important, especially during the early stages of a puppy’s life. We spend countless hours with our babies, starting at birth. It is a passion for me! Prior to them being united with their families, they will be microchipped, Vet examined, and current on their vaccinations. Our puppies are sold on contract with a written health guarantee. I am a small breeder and we live on 10 acres in beautiful SW Missouri. All my babies are raised in my home with tons of love and attention. I have raised dogs for over 30 years and have some of the nicest healthiest puppies you will find. At 16 weeks I will start letting them go outside on the grass to run and play and this gives them a nice start on their pottytraining. Maddy Bosch is from Missouri. She loves all dogs and has competed in AKC Conformation shows. Maddy grew up around dogs and was active in her local FFA chapter. Her family has been raising dogs for the last 30 years and has several veterinarians in the family. We live in the country on a small acreage near St. Louis, Mo. Our wheatens are cherished family members and live in our home. They spend the day following us around the house and playing outside. The Wheatens also have their own large space in our home complete with their own "rooms", dog doors, runs , large play area , grooming station and puppy nursery. They have a large fenced yard. We often take walks around the the property. We have raised our wheatens from puppies (9 weeks old) and they will remain with us throughout their life. We love every one of them, they are all very special. The puppies have a nose to tail exam and vaccinations from our veterinarian before going to their forever homes. The puppies are litter box trained which assists in house training when they go home. We keep the puppies and their space very clean. They are held often and are very well socialized. They are also accustomed to household noises and we also do a little desensitization training. We have very healthy, happy puppies. Our wheatens are AKC registered. Breeding pairs are chosen taking DNA results, health, disposition and confirmation into careful consideration. We follow Wheaten Health Initiative guidelines, regarding PLN genetic variants.
