I am an AKC  Breeder of Merit from Rochester, New York and have been breeding Bernese Mountain Dogs in my home for almost 30 years. My husband and I are dedicated to raising quality Bernese Mountain Dogs and pride ourselves on providing the best care and lots of love to our dogs. Our Bernese are the perfect family dog for many reasons, first, our Bernese are fed an natural diet with emphasis on vegetables and meat. Secondly, we believe in socialization from a young age is very important for development. Our puppies are raised around kids and adults of all ages as well as with other house pets. In fact, our dogs sometimes enjoy spending time in our pasture running with alpaca, horses, etc. Our blood lines originated from American lines and import dogs from Europe to enhance the quality and longevity of our dogs. Our puppies are vet checked before they go to their new homes and are provided vaccines based on leading researcher, Jean Dodd's findings. We are conveniently located within driving distance from most north-eastern areas. (NYC+Philly, Boston all within 3-4 hour drive). We have been raising, showing and breeding dogs for well over 30 years, working to build our lines up to what they are now. Absolutely no mix breeding designer dogs. We have 15 acres in the rolling hills of Upstate N.Y. We have the dogs, a gelding draft horse and a tom cat that adores to socialize with puppies. Our girls are only bred once a year if that, starting at a mature age of two years and retire at age of five. Our dogs and their pups have a large temperature controlled building, outdoor play areas, a pond and acres of natural environment to enjoy. While we do have pens for their safety there is no such thing as a kennel dog here. We have been active members in our local kennel club and my children members of the youth 4-H canine club. We have shown in AKC point shows, local AKC sanctioned matches and Obedience Competitions. Even though I am a stay at home mom and devote all my time to our country home and the dogs, I have studied courses in Veterinary Technology but have degrees in Paralegal and Human Development so I understand how crucial truth and ethics along with breeding healthy sound animals are when it comes to investing in a purebred dog.
