Pyrenean Shepherd

We are committed to preserving the genetic health and the heritage of the Berger des Pyrénées or Pyrenean Shepherd. Located in the United States, our puppies are out of dogs imported from top breeders in Europe who also share our passion for the “little shepherd.” Our highly selective breeding program, a "true bloodline," is the result of over two decades of partnership, mentoring and relationship building--and above all, it is built on honesty. We do not breed dogs, however beautiful, that are suffering from structural or other health concerns. As breed preservationists we endeavor to breed a great all-rounder that is both beautiful and easy to live with. Bien-Aimé dogs have outstanding temperaments and are of excellent type with sound structure. Their pedigrees line back to the very first breed champions from the turn of the last century and include winners of international breed club specialties, world dog shows, and kennel club events around the globe. Our own dogs have garnered top awards both in domestic and international competitions including conformation, agility, freestyle, disc dog, rally obedience, lure coursing, and more. We have many "breed firsts" including the youngest Platinum Versatility dog in the history of the breed, the youngest certified Delta Therapy dog, the first AKC breed and grand agility champion, the first AKC top-ranked ranked agility dog three years in a row, and the first Award of Excellence dog, among many others. However, our dogs are above all else, champions of the heart, and we are proud of the fact that 100% of our owners are happy with their Bien-Aimé dog, which is the greatest honor of all. We provide a level of attention and support that is without peer. We host a health forum for international fanciers and are members in good standing with several international breed clubs including the RACP (France) and the Pyrenean Shepherd Club of America. We have written, edited, and collaborated on numerous breed articles, and both support and participate in world-wide health initiatives and data sharing.
