Hi! Thank you for choosing to check out Destiny's Yorkshire Terriers. I have been breeding Yorkshire Terriers for 30 years and showing healthy, confirmationally correct top-winning Yorkshire Terriers for 30 plus years. (I am a participant in the Breeder of Merrit Program.) The parents of my puppies have come from many generations of dogs I have bred after genetic testing. The unfortunate issue of not being able to care for a puppy after adoption is addressed in the placement contract. My yorkie puppies are born in a baby pack'n'play beside my bed. They grow in my home with lots of love and attention. Potty training is started on cloth weewee pads. I place my babies as pets with limited AKC registration, without breeding rights. I do not ship my babies. New owners are encouraged to come to my home. Often families spend time in Nashville, TN before coming to me to pick up their babies. I normally have deposits on my babies between 5-8 weeks of age. I do not let them go into their new homes until they are 12 weeks old. Please ask for puppy pictures, parent pictures, pedigrees, & health guarantee placement contract. This is my fifth year of retirement after teaching elementary school for 40 years. Our Story: Vino was a litter of 1 born Jan 2010, I named him Vino because he fell asleep with his head laying on the inside of my wine glass that was sitting next to me, hence the name Vino! Ok, truth be known I might enjoy a glass of wine every now and then as well. For nearly 5 years Vino was my “Little Man” he went and did EVERYTHING with me. I did not meet a person or dog he did not get along with, his personality was like no other and about 3 years later I wanted him to have a sister so we found Iune. She came from a litter of 4 born May 2013, we named her Iune (Ee-oo-nay) because I got her while I lived in Hawaii and in the month of June and the Hawaiian word for June is Iune. If you have not guessed the names I choose for my Yorkies are all unique and have meaning…..they tell a tail! On 3 Dec 2014, we lost Vino to an unfortunate Pitbull attack. I will never forget racing to his aid and just not being quick enough and hearing his yelps as I fought to get the Pitbull off him. I raced him to the kitchen to assess his condition and just saw the most unforgettable look in his eyes. I wrapped him in a towel and raced him to the vet. He held on for 4 days and on the day the Dr. was going to release him home he had an aneurism and died. I will never have words but what broke my heart more was Iune’s behavior. She knew when I got home that day Vino’s was never coming back. The next months would be a challenge for us both as we learned to live without Vino. The owners of the Pitbull were truly amazing, they offered to cover the vet bills and in my mind despite what had happened they accepted responsibility and did all they could to make it “right.” As you can imagine there was really nothing that could be done to make it “right” but I knew I could forgive. Their guilt overwhelmed them and on 21 Dec 2014 without my knowledge they bought a Yorkie and brought him to me. At first, I was raged with anger followed by guilt. I almost gave him up for adoption not wanting to “replace” Vino. But fate took over and before I knew it, Forte Vino had won his way into our hearts and Iune took to him quickly, she bounced back. I named him Forte Vino because I always wanted Vino’s memory to be strong! As time passed we looked for ways to always celebrate his life not mourn his death. I wanted to share my love of the breed and thought what better way than to start breeding Yorkies keeping everything we love as our foundation. In 2015, Vino’s Pawfect Yorkies was born with the addition of Zitto, Farore, Loki, Areni, Fiona, and Viziati. Vino’s Pawfect Yorkies’ prides our self by being unique and different from other breeders. The motto for breeders is to better the breed however, Vino’s Pawfect Yorkies believes in taking one step further, we add FAMILY! We aim to add a Family member with Vino’s heart and soul in mind. We are a Passionate Yorkie Family sharing our love of Yorkshire Terriers…we believe Yorkies are like a great bottle of wine….once your pallet has a taste, those paw prints are Family!
