Breeding for longevity, type and temperament. All parents are health tested as per the BMDCA parent club recommended tests. All health information is posted in the Bernergarde health database (see bernergarde.org). We do extensive pedigree research and work with breeders who have similar breeding practices for health, type and temperament. We actively compete in AKC Conformation events and breed only those dogs that have attained the AKC Championship. While we only breed 1-2 litters per year, we are always available for questions and information on these wonderful dogs.

We have a family farm in Virginia and breed Bernese Mountain Dogs. We raise our dogs in our home, on our family farm. They enjoy running around with our children and are very well socialized. We raise healthy dogs with tender loving care. Each puppy goes home with a new collar, a small bag of the food they have been eating and a welcome pack with details about puppy care, the vet visit exam records and the AKC registration application. They will be dewormed, and had first vaccines (unless you prefer we don't vaccinate). Parents have been tested clear from genetic diseases.
