We are a small hobby breeder in Vermont, 25 minutes from Montpelier. Our dogs live in the house and are loved family pets as well as accomplished show and agility competitors. Our breeding’s are limited, about one or two litter per year if any. We breed with the goal of producing puppies with outstanding natural hunting and working ability that still adhere to the Rat Terrier breed standard. For optimum health and longevity, we feed a natural raw diet. We health test for Hips, Patella, Cardiac, Primary Lense Luxation and Progressive Retinal eye disease.

Warren Mountain Rat Terriers and Dobermans come from a small family homestead in the mountains of Vermont. We have Rat Terrier puppies 1-2 times per year since we began in 2004 and we had our first (and only to date) litter of Dobermans in 2017. Our Rat Terrier foundation began in 2004. We try to keep things diverse so we do not hit a genetic bottleneck in the breed. The majority of our dogs are PLL/PRA clear. Some of our dogs can be found in the pedigrees of AKC champions and even Platinum Grand Champions. Much of the art of breeding is in improving each generation, and we hold fast to that goal. We have Rat Terriers and Dobermans actively competing with their owners in agility, junior showmanship, conformation, obedience (yes rat terriers in obedience!) Rally, Lure coursing and Working terrier events. We are active participants in the parent club for our breeds and serve on committees for Rat Terriers. We're open to mentoring those who are interested in showing and breeding Rat Terriers and Dobermans. It is hard work, but worth the effort to preserve these wonderful breeds!
