The Romanian Carpathian Shepherds are direct imports from European shepherds' camps, and the Pyrenees have guarded local ranches and farms for generations.

Sandollar Farms has been raising the very rare suri alpaca as seedstock since 2003; and those great livestock guardians, the Great Pyrenees, since 2013. Our farm is located in the heart of Washington State's Wine Country about midway between the Columbia River and the Horse Heaven Hills foothills. The Pyrs guard our alpaca herd. We very carefully chose our breeding stock for perfect conformation, gentle disposition as well as pedigree. Our AKC registered stud, Yoyo, aka Johann Sebastian Bark, and our AKC registered female, Faith Thru the Rough Times, are both OFA Certified. We breed for one litter per year from this pairing typically in the spring. Check back for information on their next expected litter. We also have a purebred but unregistered female named Valentina that we breed to YoYo for those families not necessarily needing a registered puppy. Her current litter was whelped 12/09/2021 and her puppies will be ready to go around Valentine's Day with first shots and worming completed. The puppies grow up in the barn with the alpacas and if the buyer would like a guardian for livestock, we prefer that the puppy stay with our herd until they are about 16 weeks so mom and dad can show them the ropes. In addition we have our wonderful Frenchie clan that lives in the house with us. We are a small breeder and our dogs are all a part of our family. We are a family farm who raise and care for livestock and our breeding pair of Great Pyrenees guardians on fourteen acres of lush farmland in Snohomish, Washington.
