A labrador should conform to the breed standard, have a good work ethic with intense drive while still being a good companion in the home. I strive to breed dogs that are as healthy as possible. Because that is my goal every dog in my breeding program, at a minimum, have their hips, elbow, eyes and heart tested by specialists and the results certified by the OFA. I also know their EIC status, either by DNA test or parentage. The clearances on my dogs can be found either on the OFA database or on the database belonging to Pawpint Genetics.

A big part of our objective is to prepare the puppies to live in urban society, and thus they are trained from the moment their sharp little teeth come. They are raised in the Great Room, open to all noises, actions. They know "no-bite" for no nibbling on us, "off" for no jumping and they are trained to use the litter box which make transition to your home very easy. Depending on the weather, they start coming out into the yard multiple times daily and thus they learn to relieve themselves outside. The puppies are used to car rides in a crate. These puppies are very social, well adjusted & simply wonderful. Ready for this urban society.

We live in a very rainy but beautiful part of Washington State with views of the cascade mountains and an abundant of wildlife outside our backdoor. We share our home with our beloved Labradors. The dogs all live In our house, lounge on the furniture and some are our nightly bed warmers. We do have kennels and when appropriate we use them, but most of the time they have the run of the house and enjoy a very large yard to play in. We decided as a family to become a small non-kennel breeder of the Labrador Retriever to pass on to other families the positive influence of an intelligent and healthy Labrador.
