The Dam and Sire are excellent livestock guardians, obedience trained and so well behaved they can go anywhere. They live the natural life guarding the livestock on 135 acre farm, coming and going as they please in the house and taking car rides to stores and events. I breed for excellent temperaments and health. Both Dam and Sire are negative, no carriers for 214 and 215 genetic diseases including, but not limited to, Degenerative myelopathy (DM), Canine Multifocal Retinopathy (CMR) Glanzmann’s Thrombasthenia (GT) Neuronal Degeneration (NDG) from the Canine Genetics’ Lab from the University of Minnesota. Genetic testing can be cleared by percentage, no testing needed, as both parents are negative no carriers for genetic diseases. Even so, last litter of puppies tested negative for genetic diseases including but not limited to (DM), (DNG), (CMR) and (GT). Both Dam and Sire are extensively health tested. Belle just passed her cardiac exam to be posted to ofa. Belle’s chic number for Canine Health located on ofa.org is 157973 and Casper’s chic number for Canine Health is 157067. In addition to genetic testing both dogs are OFA. Both Dam and Sire were placed under anesthesia and had extensive xrays done sent to OFA and read by a vet radiologist. Sire had ofa good hips, normal elbows, patella, shoulders. Dam had hips and patella’s and cardiac normal. The Dam’s genetics tested very diverse as her dam is from the Limberlost linage from Canada highly unlikely to carry any genetic diseases and the Sire’s genetics are almost as diverse as the Dam’s. All health testing results are available to review although not all testing was posted to ofa due to the extreme cost.
