Valhalla Icelandic Sheepdogs is owned by Margaret Gimblin of Meadow Bridge, West Virginia. I have been active in the breed for 15+ years. I am an AKC Breeder of Merit, who bred the first AKC Champion in our breeds history; Valhalla's Heart of Gold. She can be found on many pedigrees today. We strive for quality over quantity and believe the backbone of successful breeders are our pet homes. Sound temperament and genetic diversity are key focal points. We have done a fair amount of importing to broaden the gene pool. Quality dogs produce quality puppies who can excel in show/breeding/herding or performance venues. Its all about assessing each puppy for the appropriate placement. .AKC proudly supports dedicated and responsible breeders. We encourage all prospective puppy owners to do their research and be prepared with questions to ask the breeder.
