Small in home breeder of long hair miniature dachshunds. All pups are raised in my home crate free where they get one on one time with myself several hours a day. Every pup that leaves me is full of love and ready to train you for constant belly rubs. I litter box train each baby to better prepare them to go outside when they are a little older. I do require a potential puppy buyer questionnaire to be completed upon approval to adopt one of my baby's. The only thing I ask is for frequent updates and pictures of my baby through out his or her life time. I love my baby's with all my heart and take pride in raising quality pups. The dames and sires are part of the family. They are raised in a nurturing environment with love, respect and joy. All of our Dachshunds have us wrapped around their tiny paws. They fill our lives with love and laughter. This is the only reason why we are a Breeder of Dachshunds! We want to share this love and joy. Our Dachshund puppies are born and raised inside our home. They are kept in a birthing room with mom until ready to be socialized with other dogs and children They are curious, intelligent, and friendly to old and young alike; they are never timid. These pups love play time as well as one-to-one cuddle time. They also love cuddling in a 'pack' together. They are crate trained. The door to the crate is open all day. If they are tired or hungry they go inside where they have their bed and blankets, as well as an endless supply of food and water. However, when they want to play, they have full range to the home. They easily adopt to most situations. They are potty trained to puppy pads and will seek out the pad when they need to go. AKC recommends, as well as we recommend knowing the breed you are committing your home, heart and life to. Dachshunds are playful, but stubborn making them a challenge to train . They love to burrow (which means they will dig holes) and have a propensity for chasing small animals and tennis balls with great determination and ferocity sometimes bringing you back presents...LOL. Dachshunds are known as the dogs that train their owners. It takes patience and commitment and a gentle but firm nature to train a Dachshund...but they are so worth it. They are big dogs in small bodies... True in every sense...they are half the height of big dogs but they are known for their length. They have a bark that sounds like a big dog and are not afraid to use it. They will rule with personality and style. They will take over the house if you let them...LOL Our Dachshunds will sit on our Labs as to say I'm in charge and the Labs let them...LOL

She is the first thing you see when you log onto my site. I walked into a PetLand in Ohio to buy a dachshund for my elderly daddy because he had recently lost his dachshund. Well, three dachshunds later we left the store. My daughter bought Mattie. We bought daddy PJ. I purchased Sassy Pants. The three girls had found their forever homes. I retired from The Army in 2011. I really hadn't decided what I was going to do with retirement. I had been with the Army and a Registered Nurse working critical care units and ER for so long, so I knew I couldn't just sit home and knit. Since I had some time on my hands I started dachshund research. I soon learned about puppy mills. I had no idea that most dogs from pet stores come from puppy mills. I started researching small home breeders. That's where I found my first boy Jasper. We had are first litter in 2011. I thought this will be a fun way to spend my time. As i continued my research and talked to many seasoned breeders and some research veternarians, I soon discovered that there was a lot more to do than just play with puppies. Although, they are a lot of work, I couldn't think of a better way to spend my retirement years. As in anything we do, I have had some hard lessons to learn, but I take from it the positive and learn from it. I do not recommend breeding your loving pets because so much can go wrong.
