I have miniature dachshunds; smooth and long coats. I breed dachshunds as a hobby so that I have the occasional show dog for my own enjoyment which results in healthy and loving dogs as pets. I have averaged less than 1 litter per year of owning dachshunds. I love them and they are kept in my house (although I do not promise that they are completely housebroken). They go out in the yard and play like every other loved and treasured dog. I do offer an occasional dachshund for sale. I have tested eyes and patellar luxation in my original breeding females. I personally know 4 generations of my breeding program. Why is this important? Because I know about back issues and epilepsy issues in my lines. We can discuss these issues that should be important to you.

Prairie View Companion is licensed by the USDA and State of Missouri. And, we inspected by AKC. We have 10 or more hours per year of CEU. Our kennel is climate controlled summer and winter. Adult dogs have "hands on" by our vet once a year. All puppies are current on vaccinations and wormed regularly before placing in their forever homes. Puppies are micro chipped before shipping. Our facility is located on large farm in the southcentral area of Missouri. We started our business of being professional pet providers in the spring of 2004.
