Hi, I'm Patchwork- Bedlington Terriers & Bichon Frise

I am an AKC Award of Merit Breeder in Texas, and breed Bedlington Terriers and Bichon Frise. I was chosen to be the Breeder Spotlight of the Year and also inducted in the AKC's Hall of Fame Museum, in New York. In doing so, I hold the best standards in proper placements of my puppies into the best homes possible, according to the AKC standards set for us to follow. All of our dogs are home bred, raised and shown by us. The parents are from Best in Show dogs, both US and Europe. I have the 1st American Bred Bedlington to win a Best In Show and be entered in the United Kingdom's Dog Registry Book. This means that we qualify for life, to enter the world famous Dog Shows. We encourage all prospective puppy owners to do their research and be prepared with questions to ask. Make sure you are not only choosing the right breed for you, but also that you’re getting a healthy dog. With allergies myself, I have found these breeds to be perfect. This coat is non-shedding, but is prone to matting, unless it is regularly groomed. I do health screens on our adults for genetic defects . The terriers are DNA 1:1 for CT. As a Breeder, I have raised and shown both Bedlingtons & Bichons for more than 40 yrs. As a canine 4-H leader for over 20 yrs., I have worked to educate others, adults and children alike, humane responsible ethics. I was also the youngest person on the board of the Humane Society at that time. I hold degree’s in Animal Behavior, Animal Husbandry and Certified in Animal Control. Working cruelties for the HCHS and our local Sherriff Dept. has made me an advocate, promoting rescue work for all. I use these methods in helping prospective buyers to make good choices in selecting a new member of the family. These puppies are very outgoing. They are raised in a busy environment and are socialized to music, children and other pets. They have superior temperaments and many are placed as therapy dogs and are great family members. Puppies are sold with AKC limited registration, unless otherwise discussed. Puppies will have health checks from a veterinarian and will be current on their deworming's and vaccinations according to age.
